Lack of procedures / handling of clients

Firstly on my arrival, checking in my room, I was phone to go back to provide my id to photo copy....no resn was given why I should provide a copy of my id to the hotel.....this is the first time and the first time that I had to provide a copy to a hotel, I am travelling everyday using hotel over the country and then to arrive at a town lodge to provide a copy of my ID.

The second day I submitted by dirty clothes for laundry and was then again ask to pay before I got get my laundry, not when I check-out, I am suppose to pay immediately or else I cannot get my laundry.

This is it, I will never stay at this town lodge again, after supporting this lodge for the last 8 years when I visit Capet town on a monthly basis, I will never never stay at this lodge again, do not phone me....I am not interested in your stories.

Your treatment towards your customer is extremely poor, I felt like a ********!!!

Also stop greeting your clients as if you have never saw them and stop greeting client at breakfast...evbery employee is greeting a client.....
Hello SHEQAuditors,

Thank you for staying at our hotel. Please note that in terms of recently updated Immigration Act legislation, all hotels are obliged take a copy of guests' ID documents or passports. We expect this to become the norm throughout all accommodation establishments in South Africa within the next few months. As far as the laundry charge is concerned, this was necessary as the booking made by your travel agent did not include the bill-back of any extras.

We sincerely apologise that you were made to feel uncomfortable, this was certainly not our intention. We trust that we provided sufficient explanation of the situation and do hope to welcome you again as a guest.
