INTRANSIGENCE TO CHANGE BOOKINGS

We have visitors from Botswana. One booked a twin room on Friday night and paid for one night. His uncle was coming the next night to join him. His uncle arrived Saturday and booked a twin as well. The reception would not allow them to share a room and save the fee for the one night on the first room. The reception even checked the first room to see it was not messed up and it wasn't. They then locked the first room, took the uncle passport and luggage.<br> this is very bad. The inability to help the visitors and intransigence. I am sitting here at 9.48am on Sunday and it is not sorted out. The manager cannot be contacted or not interested. I demand any excess charge be refunded to the visitors - Mr Morris Ramabu.

Hello Tim Horn,

Thank you for booking at our hotel. Please note that while we empathise with this situation, our duty manager app**** our group's policies and procedures. Due to a misunderstanding between the two guests, two rooms were booked, when one room would have sufficed. If our hotel had been advised timeously by the first guest that the second guest would be sharing his room, this could have been arranged. We hope that you understand our stance in this regard. The hotel's general manager has explained the above to the guests telephonically. We hope to welcome you again soon as a guest at this hotel or at another hotel in our group.
