Humiliated by your General Manager!!!
I was humiliated by your General Manager, this morning during check out, in front of other patrons and staff. When I checked in yesterday, the lady who checked me in told me that I had R200 towards dinner. I asked her twice what the amount was and she confirmed it twice and even wrote it on the slip as proof. Today when I checked out I was told I needed to pay it back because they had made a mistake.

Your GM then asked for my boss' number which I gave to him because I had nothing to hide. I asked your GM to call the lady who checked me in but I was told that she is off duty so he won't call her. Instead he called and spoke to my boss. I am still very new in my job so you can just imagine the impression my boss got of me, as she still doesn't know me well.

My stay was pleasant, except for how I was handled by your GM this morning. Please take him to a refresher course on customer service. He also needs to learn to gather facts first and interrogate them before making assumptions. He doesn't know me from a bar of soap, so why would he just assume that I am trying to deceive him? Why would I jeopardise my new job and my children's livelihood over R200?
Please accept our apologies for this misunderstanding. We gather the hotel's GM has emailed you a personal apology and has adjusted the dinner amount on your account. We hope to welcome you again as a guest in the near future.
