City Lodge Hotels Newtown - a wonderful experience!

We were in Jhb over the December 2019 festive time for a holiday. The accommodation we booked online turned out to fall horribly short from what was advertised. We left that accommodation and decided to go to City Lodge.

From the moment that I called the hotel till we were finally booked out - all we can say is Thank You City Lodge!!! There are a few staff that need special mention.

Firstly, Esethu - she took my call and attended to us when we arrived at the hotel. We immediately felt calmed by her professional and efficient demeanor - given that we arrived there on 29/12/19 after 11 pm in our search for accommodation! The booking in process was seamless. We only found out afterwards that she was on an internship that ended on 31st December 2019. Since we never got a chance to thank her in person, we would like to use this platform to thank her for her assistance. I hope the hotel staff will pass the message on.

Siphiwe, the chef - what beautiful, tasteful, utterly drool-worthy food were presented to us by her whenever we had lunch/supper downstairs. My husband said that he would be very disappointed if we were to return in the future and she were not working there anymore.

Jacob attended to us during our meals and his service was impeccable. Always attentive and ready to assist if our requests were a bit off the menu. :)

The cleaning staff were very efficient and thorough in cleaning our rooms.

Shadrack rounded out the experience, when we booked out, with professionalism and efficiency.

We will definitely #supportlocal by visiting City Lodge Newtown again.
