City Lodge Hotel OR Tambo International Airport

I booked a room for my 90year old mother at City Lodge Hotel OR Tambo International Airport as she had an early morning flight at 06:00 and check in at 04:30. I cordially requested porter service to take her to the domestic terminal as she has difficulty in walking. They refused to assist. I had to book a second room on short notice for a friend that will assist her with getting from the hotel to the terminal. I had to make an EFT payment and arranged for an Immediate Inter Bank transfer. I had the POP's and SMS from the bank being send to them by e-mail, as well with the friend. When he was about to check in, they informed him that they have not received the funds, although EFT proof the transaction was successful, as well as my bank statement indicating the payment was made and deducted from my bank account. All the proof that I could give was given to them. With all of this, he still had to pay for the room himself. I think this is the most useless hotel in South Africa and not willing to go the extra mile for it's guests. It does not even deserve the one star "Terrible" rating.
