Absolute Disgrace

What an absolute disgusting visit we had on 12 August 2017. We checked into City Lodge Sandton on 12 August 2017 to visit a patient in a hospital. Check out on 13 August. Our visit was a horrifying. Noise in the passage throughout the night which we gathered to be visitors. We hanged the "do not disturb" notice on the door, but we were frustrated from 08h00 Sunday morning by housekeeping as they wanted to come and clean the room. At around 10h40 we received a call to enquire as to when we will be checking out. What is so shocking about the whole situation is we stayed at other City Lodge establishments around Bryanston, etc. and we did not encounter any unpleasantries like with the Sandton City Lodge. We did not even arrange for late departures. And it was not as if the room we stayed in (room 180) was booked for other guests, the hotel was in actual fact rather empty so why the big fuzz? Cleaning staff in a hurry to go home? City Lodge Sandton's Manager could not even answer certain questions asked by us regarding this unpleasant stay. We stay at the City Lodge Hotels over the weekends to visit a very sick patient travelling from Bloemfontein, we are not visiting Gauteng for fun and games. If people cannot respect that I am really concerned about the level of individuals employed. City Lodge Sandton is an absolute disgrace. We need to travel coming weekend again and I do not think City Lodge will be our accommodation of choice again.
