Letting a sick child suffer Mediclinic and St Anne's

<p>Today I took my child to the doctor just to hear that he might have a problem with his appendix. The doctor immediatly send me to Mediclinic, just to sit there for hours and be told they do not have a bed for him. Then the sister at casualty phones St Anne's just to be told the same story - NO BED! To make matters worse they have a contact with my medical aid that they are the only hospitals that we must use. So where to now????? I end up at Midlands Medical Centre - just to hear that they can give me a bed but there is a 35% levy to be paid from my side, what must I do as a mother? He phoned Mediclinic and spoke to Mr. Marahaj there who said they have no bed. He then phoned St Anne's and spoke to SR. Roux, same story. My child ended up being admitted to Midlands and Yatesh went out of his way to assist us as he saw the urgency of the matter. I am very disappointed in the hospitals in this town.</p>
