I mad the biggest mistake of taking an alternator to City Auto Electricians for a quote on a repair the receptionist was all full of smiles and and told me she call me with the quote for the repair , she NEGLECTED TO TO INFORM.ME THAT THERE WILL BE A QUOTE CHARGE OF 10% OF THE REPAIR VALUE AND TO.TOP IT ALL NO VISIBLE SIGNS STATING THE FACT. I evetually got the call with the quote amount and I did not accept the quote as I can not pay R2300-00 for 2 small bearings and and 3 dyiods , when.I went to collect the alternator i was only then informed for the 1st time ofthe 10% quote charge , I informed.the receptionist that I was not told about the 10% quote charge I also told her that there was no sign stating the 10% quote charge , she told that there is a NOTICE ON THE WINDOW WHEN I LOOKED AT THE WINDOW WHERE SHE WAS POINTING TO THE NOTICE SHE WAS REFERING TO WAS COVERED BY A RMI STCKER AND NOT VISIBLE TO THE PUBLIC , SHE HAD TO PULL CLOSED THE SLIDING WINDOW PARTIALLY TO MAKE THE NOTICE VISIBLE TO ME. THE OWNER DECIDED TO MAKE A QUICK BUCK BY NOT BEING TRANPARENT AND IGNORING MY EXPLANATION THAT I WAS NOT INFORMED IN WRITING OR VERBALLY. I HAD TO PAY THE MONEY UNDER DURESS ELSE I WOULD OF BEEN MISSING AN ALTERNATOR OF R2700-00.
