WHY AM I SURPRISED
On Thursday afternoon 29th March i clearly made a HUGE mistake and went off to these *****s to test drive a car. To my knowledge in order to TEST DRIVE a car you have to apply for pre-approved finance, which they did and i got to test drive the car. I did not make my final decision and i made it VERY CLEAR THAT "I CANNOT SAY YES TO THE FIRST DRESS I TRY ON", that means i cannot buy the first car i test drive, and that i would give my final decision today.
Mr Charming De Wet convinced me to pay them a R2000 deposit to take the car off the floor while i decide, this is the wonderful added service they provide. So stupid me agreed. Please note the car was off the floor only during the long weekend so no business was lost and how do i know they really even moved it an inch. Besides if anyone else was dumb enough to want the car, they would have paid the R2000 deposit.
After some thought over this long easter weekend i decided that a GREEEEN car is not for me and early this morning i informed De Wet only to find a voice note today from him stating that tooo bad soooo sad i can't change my mind because he already did all these type of favors for me at the bank i work for and got me my staff rates and things and i paid R2000 deposit for a R434 000 car bla bla *****e fish paste.
I have yet to see any documentation from my bank, or a quote, or a contract, or service history or anything but i bought this car. I did not sign anything that said i bought this car.
I DON'T WANT THE CAR OR ANYTHING TO DO WITH DISHONESTY PLEASE. I'VE HAD MY FAIR SHARE OF *****S HENCE THE REASON I DON'T HAVE A CAR AT THIS STAGE SO PLEASE GIVE MY R2000 BACK AND GO AWAY OR YOU CAN EVEN KEEP IT IF IT MEANS I AM RID OF YOU FOR GOOD!
i've been through enough with people who have not self-respect. Citton Cars please leave my life alone and go take someone else for a "ride". Been There. Done That. Got the whole outfit. Thanks.
Hi Verushka,
We would firstly like to start off by apologizing for the inconvenience caused and the way you feel about your Buying experience at Citton Cars. It is not our intentions to make the buying experience as challenging as you have noted it to be. We would like to however explain as to the process followed as this would make more sense to your concern/discomfort. We are a Very Large Dealer falling in the Mega group with the banks. Thus meaning we constantly maintain and exceed the monthly sales of 100 Quality Pre-Owned vehicles and more. As we advertise very aggressively on all major vehicle platforms we have coverage to around 150 000 potential buyer searching the Web at any given moment. This together with the fact that we had volunteers working over the Easter time just adds to the possibility of another client also making an enquiry and possibly purchasing your vehicle you app**** on. I am sure you will agree that the Mercedes A200 in that Striking Green Colour is a real eye catcher, and still being under full Maintenance plan it's sure to sell quickly. So in order for us as a dealer to protect you as our Buyer and client we give you the option of securing your purchase till time of delivery by paying a " Holding Deposit". This works both ways in securing the vehicle for you and also you having the assurance we won't sell your vehicle to the next client showing interest in it. We would not request a "Holding Deposit" unless we have a complete application, provided you with a test drive on your new vehicle and making sure you are happy with what you are buying. In all fairness you would also agree that any true Salesman worth his salt will obviously still try and keep you as his client, especially if the only concern was the colour. Which is what we wanted to do in offering you alternatives. It's noted that you and my Senior Sales Exec missed each other on calls made. I commend him in his efforts assisting you, selling the vehicle to you and making sure you were happy at that moment with your purchase. I however never want to see a client unhappy and therefore apologize if the way your purchase was handled was not what you expected. We have already made the arrangements for your "Holding Deposit" to be paid back to you. I hope to see you soon, have a nice cup of coffee and make sure you are a happy client.
Wishing you a great day,
Citton Cars

Hi Verushka Naidoo,
We have as promised in the previous response already arranged for your refund. Stating we are Dishonest and Forced is totally uncalled for. We have processes we follow to ensure all parties are covered. In knowing how that process works seems not to interest you so not sure how else to explain why what we did caused you such pain. However I see this matter now as closed and wish you all the best in your vehicle search. I am sure the right one for you is somewhere out there waiting for you.
