Citton cars hiding bad reviews

I have previously left a negative review, and assured the company after I had gotten my car back that I would update my review.

This is not the update they were hoping for.

I bought a 2017 Mazda 2 with 119,000 on the clock for R180,000. This Mazda was in “great condition” and had never been in an accident before. At least that was Martin (the managers) sales pitch. Ouens, this car has been in 2 accidents and the gearbox was gaar after a week.

The registration was also nightmare. I was on these guys like white on rice about when the registration would be ready. Every time I called in they said, “No it will be ready tomorrow”.

Spoiler : It was not ready tomorrow.

I eventually after 2 weeks drove there to find out what’s happening. The old boet who wouldn’t give me his name ( sits right by the entrance to the left, but I rate he’s going to change spots now ) informed me that the reason my registration was not yet ready was because the car’s roadworthy had expired BEFORE I EVEN GOT THE CAR. He then asked me to take the car to the roadworthy test for him because there wasn’t enough staff in office. Unacceptable, but I did it anyways in exchange that he booked the car into Bosch for me while I was out. Another spoiler, he did not do that because I had to go back to the shop and do it myself.

Bosch will be getting a separate negative review, even though I’m sure these 2 companies operate under one entity.

Eventually, after many wasted and useless calls requesting Martin contacts me, the car’s registration was ready.

During this nightmare, they gave me one of the spare cars to use. I advised them that I would leave this spare car at Bosch (which is in Montana) once I collect my car. However, because I had made as many useless trips as I did calls, there was not enough petrol in the car to take it to Bosch and I caught a lift.

I left the car at home, which is a block away from Citton, and like magic Martin called me. Why? Because I had inconvenienced them by leaving the car a block away instead of in Montana and I “didn’t let him know”. Apparently on this day they actually had enough staff to waste on an hours trip. Also, I did let him know because I let Graeme Howel know where the car was and he told me it was fine and he would let Martin know. It’s not like he was contacting me or that I could get ahold of him so cry me a river Martin

Crazy that even with the sense of impending doom breathing down their necks that their service was lukewarm at best.

Martin also tried to bribe me with reimbur*****t to not leave this review. So, their management is unprofessional, and in result their employees are unprofessional

Please rather risk WeBuyCars, Wheelie, or even Facebook.

Posted to photos of the accident report after their reply. Also they never picked up the car we dropped it off, and the spare car was not damaged when we dropped it off it was like that when they gave it to me. They take care of their cars the same way they take care of their customers... not good if you were wondering 😂

Saying I admitted to damaging the spare car is as big as a lie as Martin van Jaarsveld saying the car has never been in an accident.

They are also blocking my reviews on google
