CITROEN WESTRAND - BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU BUY

I bought a Mercedes B170 at Citroen Westrand. The salesman Hein Scheffer was very helpful and showed me the car advising that it has a full service history and that it was tested and in excellent condition. Within 2 days the deal was done and I fetched the Mercedes. He also sold me a maintenance and service plan. All went well until the 21st of May (51 days) after I bought the car my clutch just broke while I was driving. The car was towed to Landmark who advised that the clutch broke due to wear and tear. The warranty company Innovations declined our claim and said they do not cover the cost for wear and tear and that it is going to cost us R18 200 to get the clutch fixed. I immediately called Citroen who told me that it is not a wear and tear claim but a breakage claim and that they are fighting it. Thomas Weissleder the Sales Manager never call back when he promised and 12 days later he tells me another assessor had a look at the clutch and it has broken due to drivers technique which was confirmed as an incorrect assessment. I've had it with the lies and Citroen advised they are only prepared to pay R6000. So now we are heading for court. Don'b buy any car from Citroen!!!!
