MY DEPOSIT???

If I could give Citiq Properties zero stars, I would. My boyfriend and I received one calendar month's notice to move out of the premises we were occupying in Oaklane Estates as they were in the process of selling all units. We were fine with this fact. Our letter stated that we had to evacuate the premises on February 28th 2019. Three or four days before moving out, we attempted to contact Citiq with regards to the exit inspection and when more or less we should be receiving our deposit back from them - to which they simply rep**** "we will not communicate with you until you have vacated the premises". We thought that this was slightly rude, but fair enough. One week after moving out of our unit, we once more tried to contact Citiq as we were growing curious about the refunding of our deposit. Countless emails, phone calls and messages went unanswered or ignored and IF we got hold of them, the receptionist would simply tell us that the person we need to speak to is either "in a meeting" or is "too busy" to take our call. Another week had passed and we were still battling to get hold of them to gain any information regarding our monies. Today is the 27th of March, (27 days since the termination of lease) and we still haven't received our deposit. Their reasoning is that it takes 21 "business days" to refund a deposit (nowhere have I heard of this. To my knowledge, it has always been 21 calendar days). Regardless of this fact, I have done some research and it states that a deposit should be paid within 7 days if a joint exit inspection was completed, 14 days if there were minor repairs to be done and 21 days if no joint inspection was completed or if damages were severe. We completed a joint exit inspection with the caretaker of the complex on the same day that we moved out being the 28th of February, which ultimately means that our monies should have been refunded within 7 days. The lack of attention from this Property Group is truly appalling, the service is hideous and they are rude beyond measure. I don't suggest anyone getting involved with Citiq Properties.
