Leaking Roof , Poor Service - Dishonest and Unreliable personnel

<p>My family and I rented a 2 bed apartment in Mount Joy , Yeoville in March 2015. Despite the apartment having been advertised as new, our experience was different. No curtails were fitted, a door had been left on the corridor, no lock and keys were fitted on bedrooms, there were no wardrobes in both bedrooms. The cupboards in the kitchen were left unfinished and the plumbing was poorly done with the shower only giving drops. No toilet paper holder was fitted - in short, the construction of the flat was poorly done and left unfinished.</p> <p>when I reported this, I was told to complete a form and email to the agent at the Braamfontein office. 3 months later there was no response, I had to threaten legal action before a carpenter was sent to fit 1 door and a wardrobe, the rest was never fixed.</p> <p>My emails were sent to a building manager, an agent and a manager - all to no avail(emails are available).</p> <p>i then decided to serve notice and leave the place efferctive from 1 December 2016 - my notice was given at the end of 0ctober 2016.</p> <p>i was told it would take 14 - 21 days for my deposit refund to be paid, </p> <p>i made an appointment with a representative who came and did an inspection and told me there was nothing major which needed to be fixed, that she would submit a report and I will receive my refund. </p> <p>Its now been a full month and my calls are being dropped - I have escalated this to the Financial Manager (so I was made to believe) but all I have received is false assuarance. The month is over and I still have not received my refund. </p> <p>To my surprise a new tenant was being given the apartment without all faults being fixed, </p> <p>To me this means the faults reported more than a year ago remain and will be a headache to the new tenant.</p> <p>The employees of Citiq in Braamfontein have proven to be nothing more than unreliable, unprofessional and dishonest. </p> <p>Citiq does not deserve a space in the Real Estate Management with such a caliber of employees - it does seem like the culture has been embedded in their minds and there is no leadership to provide the much needed guidance.</p> <p>i would urge every person to think twice before taking residence in any CITIQ managed residence.</p>
