Stay away. Citiq prepaid charges whatever they want for electricity. On 2-7-2023, first purchase for the month, I received 224.5Kw for an amount of R700.00 (R3.12 per Kw), on 5-7-2023, 3 days later, 228.8Kw for R 500.00 (R2.19 per Kw) this whilst Mogale City charges R 1.74 per Kw

As per our telephonic discussions, we have established that Mogale City Municipality charges you R2.10 per unit excluding VAT, not R1.74 per unit excluding VAT, due to the increase implemented at the beginning of July 2023.
We have updated your tariff accordingly as requested, the service fee (8.45% ex VAT), channel fee (3.45% ex VAT), and the VAT will still be added to this amount.
The tenant can create a user profile via our website and download our Citiq Prepaid Tenant App to avoid paying the channel fee which will make it slightly cheaper for them. They can also view their details, purchase prepaid tokens, and view their tariff breakdown. Available for Android and iOS devices. The app can be downloaded from the Google Play store or the Apple Store. Tenants can also purchase prepaid tokens directly from our website as well.
