Citiq tariffs and breakdown

Hi Citiq. This is not a bad review just a question. I just wish to understand how the tariff breakdown works and what can be done to inprove it? My Meter nr is ***. why am i paying R2.92 a unit of electricity even after the winter tariff has decreased from Centlec? I find this disturbing cause i thought the law protected citizens to be treated equally when it came to services delivered? Other people are paying a mere avg of R2.00 a unit and I feel done in as we all have financial issues trying to come by. What is the base tariff that centlec supplies to you the provider? what margin in cents do you add? and does the landlord add a tariff of his own? is this legal? and what % may the landlord add? I eagerly await your answer as I feel alot of us do not understand how it works or what we can do. Regards

Wayne

Hi Wayne

Here is a explanation of how tariff prices are calculated - https://www.citiqprepaid.co.za/faq/#does-all-my-money-go-into-purchasing-units. We also encourage you to speak to your landlord regarding tariff prices.
