False Advertising (GlucoPlus / Cipla)
Springbok Pharmacy in general is very good with Medications, etc.
But the Product "GlucoPlus" is most definitely "False Advertising". My mother requested this product as it was on their latest Pamphlet. It states as advertised "Blood Glucose COMPLETE Monitoring System" on 1 side of the box, on the other side "Glucoplus Starer Kit". Now whether a Starter Kit or Complete Kit ... it should have all the necessary utensils to monitor a person’s blood results. There are 8 items needed for this: Blood Glucose Meter with Battery, Blood Glucose Test Strips, Control Solution, Check Strip, Lancing Device and Lancets. Plus the PC Download software and User's Manual.
On the Kit that is being delivered to clients as COMPLETE, you only get 4 of the necessary items needed to test your blood. And that is - Blood Glucose Meter with Battery, Lancing Device, User’s Manual and the PC Download stick.
So the most important items are not included: Blood Glucose Test Strips, Control Solution, Check Strip and Lancets
GlucoPlus Inc. is falsely Advertised. We have had to send this back because it would have entailed Hundreds of Rands for what is needed to test your Blood Glucose and my parents are Pensioners, with a Government Pension. The company that imports this set from GlucoPlus in Canada is Cipla.
