I completely agree with what Vicky N (28 Dec 2022 at 14:32pm) and others reported. I chose Cilltec because they advertised to do CoC's for electrical and gas installations. They do not do gas installations, but I contracted them for the electrical CoC. The technician was here, advised us that nothing is wrong. However, a couple of days later, I received a report and an invoice for almost R 6,000, with trivial 'faults', described in such a way that it could mean anything - or nothing. I questioned them on each point, as well as asked for a detailed breakdown of the invoice, as the bundled material, labour and a further inspection into a single amount. I have not heard from them, clearly they refuse to explain. I showed the report to an independent electrician and he just laughed. I got somebody else to do the inspection again and they found a minor fault, which I corrected. The CoC was issued. Stay away from CILLTEC. They take advantage of a situation and will rip you of big time. It is sad that professional service organisations behave like this.
