Weatherproof and UV Rattan is clearly not either!
In Dec 2021 I bought an Atilla hanging egg chair. Cielo boasted that the rattan (The chair is woven from weather & UV resistant PE rattan - from their website). I thought this would be perfect for my covered patio. However after about 20 months (despite it being covered in winter for protection, I noticed that the rattan was brittle and cracked and was breaking off in pieces. This continued and now it has all but fallen right off the frame. I wrote to Cielo in March 2023 and raised the matter. I was told (Please be advised that we unable to assist with frayed rattan) I was told I could repair/replace this rattan myself at Ambesha who has quoted R2200. I find this unacceptable as the product was not what I expected and considering I had taken good care of the chair made my disgust even worse. I will not buy anther product from Cielo.

As previously advised the item was received by you in December 2020. It is also important to note that the said item was not procured directly from us.
Therefore, third-party details were furnished for the repair as our products have a 12-month manufacturer's warranty.

The product I bought was made by you and purchased through Takealot. You use a lot of couriers don't you? You are trying to deflect the blame for false promises and shoddy workmanship. The third party you referred me to, will charge R2200 to replace the disintegrated PV rattan you so proudly boast about. AND as this UV resistant material disintegrates (under cover) it makes a big mess. A constant reminder of a purchase gone sour!
