Scratched product

I bought a standing/seated convertible desk. It arrived with some of the vinyl edging scratched off. I just turned that part of the desk around and made it face the wall. It couldn't have happened in the packaging, and must have happened in the factory. Pretty shoddy if you ask me. I don't want to go through the effort of returning it or replacing it because I don't want to deal with taking it apart again and dealing with the return process again, only to likely face the exact same issue again too (I set it up with the scratched vinyl because I needed the desk urgently and, then already, wasn't prepared to return it). Not a great vibe. But otherwise the desk works great and feels great.
