Relactant to refund after ongoing bad service
I ordered and paid (R50K) on good faith for a lounge suite, patio furniture and other items from Cielo Lifestyle after telephonic conformation of stock on the 18 December 2018. However, shortly afterwards, Anna Loutsios email me saying some items is actually out of stock and will arrive in mid January 2018. The patio covers will need to be manufactured and take 10-14 working days for manufacturing starting 2nd January 2018. On the 19th she apologize for the inconvenience and asked if she can deliver the items in stock and refund the balance. I ask for a full refund and she confirm she will make arrangements for a full refund.
On the 21 December 2017 she call me and convince me to continue with the sale. Delivery will be within 4-6 working days, the rest will arrive in mid January 2018. On the 27 December 2017 I received an notification of the dispatched orders.
Timefreight deliver 14 carton boxes on my doorstep on the 28 December 2017 after waiting more than hour trying navigating them to my address. Apparently there GPS couldn't pick up my street address and was forced to track them down with my car. I was forced to sign for the delivery without confirming the actual content. Be aware future buyers of this pitfall. The courier company only delivers. After unpacking the carton boxes I notice the lounge suite was damaged (badly, visible scratched) with two right consoles. I called Cielo Lifestyle on the same day and TarrynM told me they will only be able to address the complaint in the first week of January 2018 but I should take photo's and email to her. Which I did on the 29 December 2017. I didn't receive any acknowledgment of the complaint.
On 8 January 2018, I followed up with new query regarding my complain and asked for a full refund on the 10 January 2018. Clair Koen apologize again for the inconvenience on the 11 January 2018 respecting my decision to have all products returned for refund. According to her the products need to packaged in its original packaging . Products damaged due to inadequate packaging may not be refunded, or be subject to deduction and refer me to the Terms & Conditions section.
First of all, nowhere on their web site for the purchase products assemble will be required. No assemble diagrams was received either. Secondly, there is way a single person can unpack the products from the carton boxes supp**** with about damaging them. Thirdly, nobody has the space to store 14 massive boxes either. Lastly, why must the onus now be on the client to make sure the products must be repacked. My honest opinion, Claire Koen is deliberate playing the delaying card and ignoring the customer wishes. I still waiting if I ever going to get a refund or not.
