Poor after sales service
I bought the patio daybed December 2021. Upon unboxing some rust stains were seen on the fabric. I didn't think much of it, and didn't report it at the time. The metal that is rusting cannot be viewed without removing the fabric covering that is stitched into place.
However, I have recently (May 2022) been advised to report the matter to Cielo.
After numerous calls and emails, this is their final answer:
"This is considered as general wear and tear., also you do not have protective covers, to further prevent any added external / natural damages."
My comments: 1. If an item shows general wear and tear within 5 months, how long do they plan for the product to last? 2. If the metal is already rusting a protective cover will be of no use. 3. If a protective cover is needed to prevent rust, this should either be mentioned in the description of the daybed as a requirement to validate warrenty, or it should be included in the purchase. 4. During manufacturing the metal parts are álready covered by fabric. 5. They are not prepared to arrange for either a technician to view or to pick up the daybed to do their own inspection. 6. I'm not concerned about further damage (I look after my things), and a patio daybed should be manufactured in such a manner that it can withstand natural elements...at least for a few years.
So, in the end I'm left with an extremely expensive daybed of which I don't know the extent of the rust and if anything should be done about it. I'm a 60 yr old widow with health problems. I cannot dismantle the item on my own.
Way to (NOT) look after tour clients, Cielo!
