Not worthy of a one star rating

I bought exterior furniture benches and a table from Cielo in May 2022. The wooden benches and table had sap seeping from the knots. After several heated conversations and continuos requests for a replacement Cielo assured me the sap would stop and I should take interim precautions.

We covered the seeping knots with tape and removed it after a few months, thinking the problem was solved. However, when temperatures rose this month, the sap started seeping again.

This has caused embarrassing situations with family and friends, as their clothing has been damaged or stained.

Cielo’s notorious lack of customer service and my long unanswered complaint compel me to seek help from Hello Peter.

There’s a professionally accepted industry standard for the treatment of furniture wood. Cielo only cares about profit and sells raw, untreated furnishings without regard for their customers.

It’s unbelievable that a company of their scale can provide such poor customer service. I’ve never experienced such outright autocratic after-sales service in all my dealings with most of the South African furniture suppliers.

This usually indicates decay and outright incompetence in the company’s corporate structure.
