CIDB does not care about Small Black Owned Businesses

<p>We app**** for our CIDB certificate and submitted all our documentation mid January 2016. We where told all the documentation was correct and in order, it was captured and we where told the time frame is 21 business days to receive our certificate. We called after a month and where told nothing has happened as the 1 ID Document was not dark enough...as a result the process was halted. Yet, i got calls from the HEad Office In Jo'burg confirming certain details. So the Cape Town Department are useless...imagine i never followed up!!! To make things worse after i took through a clearer/darker copy as requested i again asked how long it would take and they said 2/3 weeks cause there is now a back log. I went into the CIDB office and spoke to the same consultant Rethiea who had been assisting us from the get go (and who i will say seemed to have zero urgency from the very start in assisting us) said nothing has happened since i last dropped the ID Document(Mid February 2016). Its was April when i went in to inquire. Rethiea said i should call in a few weeks time to findout the status. Well i called on Monday 16 May 2016 and was informed that they lost some of the original documents and i must get these and resubmit. Now consider ist been 4 months since i first submitted my documents. We cant get any work now without this Certificate. Its clear that The CIDB and maybe even this consultant, not only doesnt care about Small Black Owned Businesses and black workers...they deliberatley undermine them by taking food out of these peoples mouths. These workers have no work and cannot put food on the table because of the CIDB and their empoyees have distain for people from the poorer social economic sector!!!!</p>
