Replacement value and insured value
i bought an HP laptop it got damaged within six months and the insurance said i must pay R 500 excess plus an extra fee of R 1 500 totaling to R 2 000 Rands. When i got an e-mail it informed me that my claim number is FNB35717/1 but on the claim form is FNB35717/2. They gave their replacement supplier a claim order of two laptops. when i asked why they change to one. the laptop was insured under retail value which is R 5 750.56 and they want me to take a replacement value of R 3 750.60 cent. which is R 2000 less than the insured value. they tell me that their decision is final but the value is different.
