CIB encourage their clients to brake the rule of the road and then hold people following the rules of the road liable.

So I was in a accident with another person covered by CIB Insurance. There client skipped a red traffic light as he was in a hurry. I was traveling down a straight road with a green traffic light for me that give me full right of way to enter the intersection. I did slow down before entering the intersection to be aware of the surroundings. All other vehicles was stationary at that point so I then proceeded to cross the intersection as I had right of way to do so according to the SA Road Agency and it was safe to do so. The CIB client decided to skip the red traffic light just before I entered the intersection and this gave me little time to react. I did apply my brakes to try and prevent the accident. My car came to a stop but his car was to close to mine and his back wheel arch managed to sc**** against my car bumper and hooked my number plate while continuing to ride. By hooking it, it pulled off my whole bumper of my car and all parts are mounted to my car bumper.

The damage to my car from the cheapest quote is R43 000 from the panel beaters CIB send me to to get a quote.

Now CIB only want to only pay R16 000 of the damage as CIB first said I caused the accident by not stopping at a green traffic light.

Then wen argued that that I followed the road legally, I was tolled no it is because there client had his emergency light (Hazards) on and I was suppose to stop at a green traffic light because there client had his hazards on.

When showing them that there client was standing at a 90 degree angle of my car and that there is no possible way to see that he had his hazards on and that hazard lights on a car is just an indication and not a law, they then now said that it is because there client almost completed the turn after skipping the red traffic light and braking the law and I bumped in to him not trying to prevent the accident.

Now after I proved that I did try and prevent the accident by slowing down before entering the intersection and stopping before hitting his car meaning I did try to prevent the accident, I get an email to say they still offer me only the R16 000 and if I try and take them to court, they will defend it.

So I now understand that the CIB Code Of Conduct is that: 1) CIB encourage there clients to skip red traffic lights as this would only make them 23% liable for accidents and the making the other person crossing there green traffic light 73% liable for the accident. No matter if there client brake the rules and law of the South African Roads. 2) If you do not stop at green traffic lights, you are liable for any accident that happens. 3) If you prove the made up theory wrong from CIB representatives as to why not paying out a claim, CIB would look for other **** excuses as to not honor what there company stand for. 4)When this don't work they then use intimidating and scaring tactics.

Please can you sort this out and fix my vehicle as your client skipped a red traffic light when it was not safe to do so and was ******* to do so. He admitted to being fully (100%) responsible and liable for the accident.

Unless CIB do agree to my understanding of how CIB runs there business, please honor the claim and repair my vehicle damaged by your client.

Please and thanks.
