*****ing from the Poor

A few weeks ago our domestic was approached by Chubb Security at her home in Welbedacht. This is a low cost housing development near Chatsworth. To say she has had a hard life is an understatement. Her house burned downed some years back and she lost everything. The reason I am posting this is it is safe to say that based on her circumstances money must be very tight. Malina was approached by Chubb and was sold a house alarm. Why I am so furious is because she took the initiative even on her very humble income to try and safeguard her home and belongings. She was told that the alarm would cost R170 per month and there were no strings attached. Installation was noted as free. This couldn't be more of a lie. Chubb proceeded to debit her bank account for R300 once she had signed the contract and the alarm was installed. When I asked Malina to show me the contract she signed I noticed there were huge penalties for early cancellation and removal of the alarm system. I have tried to contact Chubb Security for a response both directly and on their website and have been blown off. I would like to expose this security giant for what I feel is abusing the underprivileged for financial gain.
