Shocking filth and ineptitude

After a friend had no response to setting off her alarm twice to check it, and getting no response, she tried to sort things out over the telephone. Nobody was able to help her so we went into the offices in Paarden Eiland. What a shock! The place was run-down and absolutely filthy - from the parking lot to reception. The red chairs in reception were covered in grease and grime and worn and torn. How could they expect anyone to actually sit on them? Pity that I can't add pictures here. It was so dirty that we felt that we had things crawling all over us. The poor receptionist tried to get hold of at least 8 people to ascertain whether my friend's alarm was connected to them via the telephone or remotely. There is a code on her account, but none of the people who walked through reception knew what it meant, and neither did anyone who came through. Eventually a woman came down to help, but said that she was new to the job, and would call my friend back later. She also said that the reason that the calls were never responded to was because it was a new system, and nobody knew how it worked. I'm sure that people using their service would be thrilled to know that this company doesn't know how their own system operates. Very comforting in this crime-ridden country of ours. If anyone were to walk into that premises they would NEVER sign a contract with this company.
