Rude Awakening
Our home was burgled on 12 June 2015 regardless of our alarm system being armed. My husband arrived home to find the back door removed and items ****** inside. They passed 3 sensors without activation. We received no alert from Chubb. My husband called SAPS and Chubb. When the police arrived he went into the premises and on entrance the alarm went off. Chubb arrived 1hr 30 minutes afterwards. We had to call them to find out why the alarm did not go off. A technical person was twice at our home to do a download and the area manager whom we asked for was there to listen and to date we have not had a valid explanation or Chubb taking responsibility or making amends. I was rather advised to install outside beams. We are disgusted as lives could have been lost and Chubb was not there. What are we paying for? What is the sense of having an alarm system that is useless? I am going to SASSDA to have the system in our house evaluated. We have no peace of mind knowing that ******* can come in regardless of our alarm system being armed? <br> Their presence in our area is almost 0. I changed from one company to another hoping for a better service - wrong!
