National Security & Fire
National Security and Fire is the most pathetic and unprofessional security company I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. This statement is based on the following facts: In May 2021 National Security took over our armed response from SOS without any notification. When we had an alarm activation on 5 May there was no armed response. After numerous unanswered calls to the call centre I was eventually informed that National Security had taken over but I was not listed on their system. Very strange that our debit order had been changed effective 1 May...... 14 May. Technician arrives 50 minutes late for our appointment as he had a meeting at work to attend. Technician had to change the transmitter and install alarm app. Totally *********** - had to do everything under instruction from another technician telephonically. Could not show me how the app worked. 27 May. Alarm activation. Armed response phones me to say he can't find our house at No. 10 but can see No. 8 and No. 12. He was parked in front of our house!!! He claims he cant get access to the property because the gate and wall are to high. I inform him there's a security box with a remote inside next to the gate. He doesn't have the code to open the box. I was never given any code and the control room doesn't have the code either????? 1 June. Alarm activation. Armed response does not get onto the property to inspect the house perimeter as they claim they can't get access From 7 May I tried to phone Mr Gerhard Oberholzer but my voice messages remain unanswered. On 11 June I sent an email to Mr Oberholzer listing all my complaints. I sent the email again on 14 June as I had not received any response. A meeting with Mr Oberholzer was held on 15 June and all the issues were going to be resolved. A technician would phone me on 17 June to make an appointment to come to the house. Nobody phoned on Thursday nor Friday. On Saturday evening 19 June at 19:25 someone from National Security arrives at the house without an appointment to sort out the issues with the remote and the security box. I told them to make an appointment. 20 June. Alarm activation. I inform the call centre that everything is OK. They ask for my password but when I give them the password that I've had for over 2 years I'm told it's not on their system..... 24 June. Another email to Mr Oberholzer informing him that nothing has been done since our meeting of 15 June 25 July at 15;34 I accidentally pressed the panic button on my remote instead of the deactivation button. I deactivated the alarm at 15:49. There was a missed call from the National Security call centre. After a while I phoned the call centre to find our why no guard had responded to the panic activation. I was informed that a guard had been to the house and that everything was safe. An ABSOLUTE lie!!!!! NOBODY came out to the house. The call centre told me that they would take it up with the manager on duty and get back to me. Nobody got back to me. I reported this incident to Mr Oberholzer on 28 July. I sent the email to Mr Oberholzer again on 30 July as I did not receive a reply. I sent the same email to Mr Oberholzer again on 12 August as I did not receive a reply. 13 August. I received and email from Mr David Caseiro in reply to my emails to Mr Oberholzer apologizing for the delay in response. He confirmed that no guard had been dispatched in response to the panic activation and that the operator on duty would face disciplinary action. He confirmed that the officers on duty in our area had a remote to enter the property. 7 Sept 22:43 alarm activation. I inform the call centre that I am not at home and they must send a guard to inspect the property. I watch on CCTV as the guard arrives at the house but he does not get out of his car and does not enter the property. After a few seconds he leaves. I phone the call centre and after 7 minutes my call is answered (emergency number) The call centre tells me that the guard did a perimeter check but could not get access to the property because the wall and gate are too high. In 5 months National Security could not resolve a simple issue as a remote for the property!!!! I instructed the call centre to send the guard back to the house which they said they would. I waited and checked the CCTV until 12 o'clock but nobody came to check the house 6 October. Sebezile Sibisi confirmed via email a meeting for 7 October to do a link on the alarm system. They would phone me one hour before the time so we can meet at the house. Nobody called 15 October. Multizone alarm activation. I inform the call centre that I am not at home and they must send out a guard. I check on the CCTV but no guard arrives at the house. I phoned the call centre and spoke to the manager and then to Philip the area supervisor. He told me he would investigate and get back to me on the Monday. On Monday he told me that the guard had been at the house. I invited him to come and view the CCTV footage for himself to confirm that NOBODY had been to the house. Philip was going to arrange this meeting together with the guard. NOTHING happened. 4 March. Alarm activation at 22:43. Armed response arrived at 23.24 (41 minutes after activation) 5 March Alarm activation at 00:16. Armed response arrived at 00:32 (16 minutes) 5 March Alarm activation at 01:16. Armed response arrived at 01:19 (3 minutes) On all three of these activations the armed response officer left a note in the front gate saying that they could not get access to the property. The National Security repost stated they were false alarms. In the meantime burglars were inside the house and had over two hours to clean our the house!!!! No explanations have been given at all as to how this was allowed to happen. I've incurred a loss in excess of R80 000. ADT has taken over from National Security - again without prior notification. I've cancelled my contract with National Security but despite endless phone calls and emails to Mr Johnny Scott I have still not received the refunds for the monthly subscriptions. This company is a disgrace and is playing with the lives and possessions of its customers.
