Leaving them is a mission.

I signed up with National Security in June last year by Nick, (Surname Unknown) who promised me that if I give him referrals I would only start paying in 3 Months - September. I have WhatsApp conversations to back his assurance and where I raised my concerns when debit orders started going through before the agreed date.

Late last year, I think it was in November, one of the finance employees called to notify me that my account is in arrears of the three months that were promised which was also strange because I had been paying via debit order since September why call me three months later for outstanding debts, I once again contacted Nick and he said he will sort it out.

A series of phone calls occurred and I was later in contact with a lady who said she was from the Joburg office and that she understood my case. It will be sorted out and for a couple of months it seemed to be. Mind you I have been paying the agreed amount throughout. Keeping my end of the deal.

Then again earlier this year another lady from National Security called me notifying me of the same discrepancy, now feeling annoyed, I told her of my previous encounters regarding the amount I'm said to owe, I asked to call the Joburg office so she can be more informed. I waited.

Since then I've been the one calling the office trying to get clarity on the progress she has made. At one point she said she is still waiting for feedback but will call me. I really thought the matter was resolved until last Friday (15th payroll) where an amount was debited from my account without my consent.

My debit order arrangement withe National Security is for money to be debited on the 25th. When I get paid, I don't know what gives National Security the right to debit my account on any other day without any notice. I contacted the call centre on Saturday and fortunately got through to a lady named Precious who seemed to understand the situation I'm in and promised to call me back Yesterday with positive feedback. She also didn't.

Now they didn't even call to clarify but instead I got the following email.

"As per the rep you have signed a three year contract with a rented system that belongs to National Security. Early termination will be in breech of your contract. The system will be removed by our technician and returned to National Security and fire. You will be billed for August as the cancellation period is 30 days. You will also be charged a pro rata for the remainder of the contract.

You do not qualify for any free months as you have stated before, according to our records and confirmation from the Rep, you did not give him any referrals where the clients have signed up."

The agent denying all the promises that were made. Tlno clarification on why was the amount ignored all these months nor the phonecalls that occurred regarding the amount

And I still don't have an explanation to why an amount was debited from my account without my consent.

Iim being strong armed by a company that doesn't even want to call and clarify the issues I've stated about but rather send an email stating legal obligations.

If I will be paying the next two months. I might as well continue with it and terminate when I'm more financially stable.

I've since decided to continue with the contract but would like to warn anyone else not to be I the same situation I'm in. Will have to pay all these months despite my dissatisfaction.
