Chubb Security Technical Dept. in Cape Town must be the most *********** Dept. There is no communication between office staff and technicians out in the field. I've been having problems with false alarms and on 19 October 2017 a technician came and identified the problem to be in the Braai area. The problem was rectified on 1 November 2017. As my Telkom landline was no longer operational I was adviced to instal a GPRS Radio to identify the zone should the alarm go off. After a long winded procedure this was done on 9 November 2017. I still had a false alarm going off at the back of my house with the motion detector. The technician called a few times and made adjustments without any joy. I phoned the technician directly on 14 December 2017 and explained the urgency as I was going on holiday. Telephone calls to the office on 19, 20 and 21 December 2017 resulted in promises been made which were not fulfilled. The last person that I spoke to was Bernie that promised to investigate and come back to me. I'm still waiting........ I went on holiday and bypassed the faulty zone on advice from the technician. Fortunately no burglar attempts were made. I am forced to bypass the zone when going out not to disturb the neighbours with the siren going off or armed response reacting to a false alarm. This is now more than 2 months and the problem still not resolved. It is obvious that Chubb Security don't value my business and can assure them that my letter of cancellation of contract is on its way. To crown it all I received my statement and being charged R 114.00 for excessive reponse !
