Chubb Sucks

In 2014 I sold my house which was monitored by Chubb. I notified them in February that I had sold and would be discontinuing the monitoring. I was told to send the relevant departments the email notification which I did.

I moved on 19 May and paid monitoring up to end of June 2014 when the house was registered to the new owner. at this time I again called Chubb Durban to inform them. I sent another email and then sent a registered letter to them containing copies of all my emails informing that I was cancelling the monitoring service and armed response.

I never heard from them again yet they continued to send me bills for the monitoring. telephoning them they passed me from one person to the next. I even entually gave up my post box address end 2014 and no longer receivedo bills.

I moved yet again in 2015. at the time I lost my computer and all the emails I had sent. the registered letter had been signed for by Chubb Grenville so I no longer stressed.

This year I received an email stating that I owed them almost R3000 in monitoring fees. I contacted them and they asked for proof that aims had requested a cancellation. I no longer had access to the emails but did have a copy of the letter I had registered to them. I sent this to them.

To date they still insist I need to pay for monitoring of a house that I had sold and disconnected monitoring. The post office no longer has records for the registered letter as these are only kept 18 months.

SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE - NEVER GO WITH CHUBB AS THEY DON'T STOP YOUR ACCOUNT WHEN YOU NO LONGER WANT IT. They are the worst security company I have had the misfortune to have dealings with.

#chubb sucks
