Chubb Alarms & Free alarms - false promise

Around 4 months ago we made the decision to move from ADT to Chubb alarms to protect our house. Here are just some of the issues we have experienced since moving to Chubb.

Chubb salesman failed to mention that the new alarm would have some significant limitations such as - no zone number detected by Chubb monitoring, no auditory tone, difficult to detect alarm status etc. Most limitations have now been circumvented.

To date we have barely had a week go by without some fault on the new alarm system. Due to long periods between logging a fault and actual response from Chubb we have been forced to deactivate these zones. Bypassing perimeter zones just so that we can get some sleep is not ideal. We may as well not have had an alarm during this period.

Despite repeated attempts at escalation - Chubb seems completely uninterested in our situation rather passing the buck to Free alarms their support company.

If the bad service was not enough to make us regret our decision to move to Chubb - we just received a R600 bill from Chubb for excessive alarm usage!

It is clear that Chubb don't care about their clients.
