Charging me for an amount that I don't owe
I have app**** for a Chubb Alarm system via a company called Free Alarms in February 2014. The first payments were made in April 2014. These were 2 payments (total amount of R800) for both March and April 2014. Both of these payments were made to Free Alarms. From May 2014 onwards, payments for the Alarm system went to Chubb. All payments so far were via Debit Order.

However, since last year, Chubb has sent me a statement every month indicating that I owe R731.60. I told Chubb many times via email and phone call that it is not possible that I owe this, since I have paid every single month via debit order. I have my bank statements to prove this.

I have always paid on time and I never missed a single payment. However, it appears that the people handling this issue is too *********** to resolve this issue. I will say this again: I DO NOT OWE ANY OUTSTANDING MONEY FOR YOUR ALARM SYSTEM! I had this problem for more than a year now and it is very frustrating that nobody at Chubb seems to listen.

On another note, I have asked Free Alarms to repair or upgrade a stobe light. Their website indicates FREE REPAIRS/UPGRADES, yet they want to charge me for it!

This will be my last post on this matter, as it is futile with Chubb. On April 15, 2016, I eventually had a solution with the credit controller from Chubb as well as Free Alarms (comms was via email). The solution was I needed to pay R400 for February 2014, and the rest of the money 'owing' would be credited to me. I was happy with this solution and advised the credit controller to deduct the R400 from my account asap and to confirm with me when the rest of the amount 'owing' would be credited to me. When I noticed that the amount wasn't deducted, I followed up with the credit controller reminding her about this again, so the necessary deduction would be made.
When August came around this year, I noticed that the R400 has not been deducted yet, so when I emailed the credit controller I was busy with on this matter, she already left Chubb. I called Chubb in September regarding this issue, only for the agent to informed me that I do not owe anything. I then confirmed with the agent if she is sure, as I was still being invoiced reflecting that I owe R731.60. So she confirmed that I don't owe anything. Then I decided to leave it.
Lo and behold, I wake up the morning of the 26th October, and noticed that 2 transactions of R365.80 (Total of R731.60) has been deducted from my bank account from Chubb. Not only did Chubb not warn me that they would be deducting this on the 26th October, but because I had a low bank balance before this deduction, I ended up with a negative balance, which would result in the bank penalising me by charging me extra for a negative bank balance.
Chubb, this has been a tiring issue I had since the beginning of my contract back in February 2014. I am so glad that my contract is coming to an end with you, and I definitely will NOT be renewing it. I will not ever take another contract with you out in future with you ever again and can't wait to send my cancellation to you. You have truly shown me that you are unable to solve this issue; ***********. The only thing you can do is deduct money from my account. Bravo.
Do me a favour and keep that money. It is obvious that you need it, regardless that you're in the wrong. I don't want to resolve this issue anymore. I don't want a call from you trying to resolve this matter any longer. I'm done. All I want from you is confirmation when my cancellation is successful. And once my cancellation is successful at the end of my contract, don't you dare deduct further from my bank account after my contract has ended.
