Bad Service

Chubb armed response has become a complete rip-off. I live alone and frequently travel on the continent due to work, sometimes up to three months away from home. I had an attempted break in at my house, but fortunately the ******* only managed to break the security gate. I then decided to install beams which would trigger the alarm as soon as ******* enter my premises. These beams are quite sensitive and get triggered quite easily. I went to work in West Africa November and December 2016, during which time it rained quite a bit in Joburg. I had an overgrown plant at the back of my house that kept triggering the beam. This happened on a daily basis and the armed response officer didn't pick this up during his inspection. Chubb then text me saying that they've responded more than four times in the month to an alarm at my place, therefore I will be billed for any additional triggers. It really stressed me out with the alarm going off daily but the audacity of the armed response company to put a limit on the amounts of responses that they allow in a month really ****ed me off. What am I paying them for? It's ridiculous. They should respond to every alarm unless I tell them not to. Also, I don't get my statements from them regularly and have to keep on requesting them, phoning in at my own expense. My monthly fee is supposed to be R 350 but every month a different amount is being deducted way more than the R 350. Where can I complain about them? If it wasn't so costly changing over to a new armed response company I would've done so long ago. I have one year left on my 3-year contract.
