Terrible customer service, Lies and a 6-month warranty on new parts......

I Have done servicing and repairs at Jeep Century City since I bought my vehicle just over a year ago. I purchased a Uconnect Bluetooth car kit from them on the 16th September 2016 and had it installed at an approved installer.

Car kit worked fine but I found out that they had sold me an older model that did not support the touch screen and could only be operated by voice commands. Aggravating but not the end of the world.

Then the Bluetooth kit began cutting calls around June this year so it would work then cut out then pick up again then revert to the phone. So much so that I would simply turn off the Bluetooth in the vehicle and use the speaker option on the phone.

When I booked my vehicle in for a major service in August, I reflected this as well as a low tire gauge warning and other issues for the service department to attend to. Angelo Cupido was the service consultant attending. Upon collection and a hefty payment, I inquired about the Bluetooth as well as the tire pressure gauge warning. Angelo told me both had been attended to, that he had personally tested an iphone 6 on the vehicle for 17 minutes and it had been fine. I told him I would call him from the vehicle on my way home to confirm. As I was driving, the tyre gauge monitor came on..... hmmmm....!! I called Angelo and immediately the phone began cutting out....hmmmm....!!

He immediately started telling me that perhaps my phone was not compatible and that the unit was working perfectly as per a test that he personally did for 17 minutes on an iphone 6.

Email threads following were met with the same as well as comments that the warranty on products purchased from JEEP CENTURY CITY only carried a 6 month warranty anyway.... hmmm..

I have subsequently tested the unit with the iphone 6 that I was using when the unit was installed and the unit cuts out just like with the iphone 7 plus. I've also confirmed that I started using my iphone 7 plus last year, November 12th 2017 to be precise. I certainly had 7 or 8 months where that unit was functioning perfectly with my iphone 7 plus.

I can only concur that Angelo Cupido at the very least made no such test and was delinquent in his assertions that he did and that my phone was incompatible

At worst, its outright ********** and dishonest behavior to avoid a claim against them for a new unit

Either way should the 6 month warranty on new parts from JEEP CENTURY CITY be in fact truthfull, beware of purchasing anything from them and I feel everyone should know about it

Is this standard practice for JEEP dealerships?

I have emailed ANGELO CUPIDO, JEEP CENTURY CITY and JEEP CUSTOMER CARE but received no reply
