Shocking service
I bought Jeep Compass in September 2011. I had a break down in November 2013, December 2014 and August 2015. The car was towed away and a throttle body renewed each time at my cost except once. I recently paid R17 872.95 for its release and towed back after 3 days. The Service Manager insisted that the problem was the battery. I told him several times that it was not the battery and they should check the car. They kept it and failed to identify the problem. Two battery centres later confirmed that it was not the battery. Only then they quoted me for alternator. I feel that Jeep New Vaal South took me for granted and ignored my needs. They wasted my time as I went to the dealer daily with no progress. I used public transport to work and worked for fewer hours because of their ignorance. My sons missed school and one of them got sick. I couldn't meet his medical needs without a car. They failed to offer me courtesy car I requested to catch up while they correct their own mess, of misdiagnosing my car. Now who should pay the R5 645.50 for the alternator, after all the inconvenience? The service is pathetic and I doubt if I would ever recommend Jeep New Vaal South to anyone. Nicholas
