Grand Cherokee Recall part not applicable for SA customers ?

<p>2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.6 alternator failure . </p> <p>Recall code p60 . Apparently not applicable to SA clients according to local dealers. Had a catastrophic failure on this component and almost caused a accident. While driving car just died . How is it that there is a official document issued by NHTSA stating that this is a life threatening failure and should be replaced free of charge by dealers but they refuse . New altenator R15 000 without labour ! Apparently my Vin number on vehicle does not qualify for this recall yet it is a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.6. Exactly as stated in there reports . Help please .....it seems as if you are out of your maintenance plan you are but a number only...disappointed !</p>
