Grand Cherokee - great car. Jeep service shocking
I've had a Wrangler for 7 years without any problems. Then I traded it for a Grand Cherokee. Ever since I bought the vehicle I had nothing but problems. Note that I don't think the car is the problem, it is the people servicing the car. The GC is great product sharing many parts with the Merc, but in my experience Jeep cannot compete as a brand due to the after sales service. They literally NEVER do what they say they will do. I'm not going to lay out the whole timeline, but there is probably around 20 instances in 2 years since I have the GC that Jeep did not do what they promised to do. I've been through an engine cooler replacement, an ENGINE replacement because the cooler replacement wasn't done properly and I'm still trying to get my Forward Collision Warning sensor sorted after 8 months of following up. I've even changed branches with the hope that the Centurion branch will be better than Brooklyn without success. I'm currently driving with a light warning me that the 4x4 system needs servicing and the oil needs to be changed. Jeep assured me that it is only software and I shouldn't be worried - you can probably understand my scepticism. Sadly, no longer a Jeep supporter...
