Exploited by Jeeps car parts warranty.....

March 2019 I bought a new oil filter/cooler housing unit from Jeep Umhlanga and it was fitted by another accredited and certified workshop. 30 July 2019 my car started mixing oil and water and 31 July 2019 the same workshop advised me that the same part previously fitted was faulty. I called Jeep to enquire about the crediting and replacement parts process and it took Dean the parts agent at Jeep Umhlanga 6 days to get back to me with a conclusive direction on what needs to be done( I am carless in all these days). I was advised that I needed to tow the car to a Jeep workshop ( at my cost) because they cannot receive a part on its own as they need their own mechanics to check and confirm the problem. After some back and forth with Jeep customer services I at my cost ( R650) towed the car from the other workshop to Kia Motors Umhlanga and when I got there I was told I still need to pay them for the Checking and stripping of the car ( R2800) and if the part is confirmed to be faulty, Jeep will only replace the part and I will have to pay for labour of fitting it back. Customer care representatives keep telling me about the part warranty policy. I already paid R750 to the other workshop for checking of the car and I still owe them for the 5 days my vehicle was parked in their workshop). Jeep refused to accept only the part and insisted I bring the car to them, they refused to assist in using their roadside assistance to tow the car to their workshop, They refuse to send out the own technicians to confirm the reports from where the vehicle. Why must I spend ( R5030) before they decide if they are replacing a part of (R3700) and still pay for labour to fit it back. Can we recognize here that If the part was in good running order there would be no refitting needed right now. The customer care manager proudly told me yesterday that she has managed to reduce the stripping quote from (R2800 to R1800) lol ......
