Chrysalis salons Pathetic staff.

I have to start of by saying it pained me to give this salon 1 star, as i feel they dont even deserve that. I have had a problem with the salon in February and till date there was no one competent enough to assist me. In February i visited the Chrysalis salon in Umhlanga, i showed the lady named Samantha a picture of what i wanted to have done and she said she can do it and an appointment was made. On the day of my appointment i showed Samantha the picture once again to make sure she understands what im looking for. I could not notice much in the salon as it was a bit dull,i told Samantha il check my hair in the light and let her know. The very next morning i messaged Samantha on Whatsapp explaining my hair color looked nothing like the picture i showed her it was also patchy, i had someone take pictures of my hair on the same day, the cut was incorrect and looked as if my hair was still full of split ends, people from work did not even notice that i did something with my hair.She was kind enough to tell me i must come through to the salon she will sort it out for me. On the day that i went to the salon she was off so a lady at the front desk assisted me, i showed her the picture and she examined my hair, she agreed it looked nothing like the picture and appologised, thereafter she phoned the manager Roxy and explained my problem, i also spoke to Roxy over the phone and told her i want my hair redone but not by Samantha as i felt she would not be able to give me the look i was going for. She did agree to allow someone with more experience to assist me but she did tell me to come see her so she can help me. I did go to the salon 3 times thereafter and everytime i did go Roxy was day off. On the third time that i went to the salon i spoke to the lady at the front desk once again and told her i wont be able to come get my hair done in March as I am busy with work the entire month i will only be able to come back to the salon in the first week of April, she said thats fine she will pass on the message to Roxy. During the first week of April i did go back but once again i just missed Roxy, there was a beautician that i spoke to that gave me a number to contact. thereafter i phoned and was able to find a date that was suitable for both Roxy and i to meet. On meeting she examined my hair and made the time lapse a problem, i had to remind her that i have been coming for help from February then she rememered who i was, she phoned Samantha to find out what was done on my hair and to my shock she told me Samantha had done a special that they where offering at the time thats why my hair did not look like the picture. Up to date i cant understand how i go into a salon asking specifically for something and getting something i did not ask for, maybe Samantha thought i looked poor and i needed the special, frankly i cant get my head around how they just assumed a customer cant afford something. I was there with my picture it was simple, give me what i want or say you cant do it and i would have sought other salons, dont look at me and think you know whats best for me. Instead of Roxy trying to be of assistance to me she was trying to defend her staff, i did tell her my birthday is in mid April and i wanted my hair to be fixed before that. I phoned 2 times after that and left my number for Roxy to call me, she did after about a week saying that my hair cant be done they have to get a color specialist in to examine my hair so i get the right color this time, at that point i knew they were just being nasty and wanted to prolong sorting my hair so it passes my birthday, so now besides being poor i was also dumb. Not to my surprise they did call me in but there was no color specialist Roxy and Samantha looked at my hair once again, Roxy told Samantha to redo my hair even though i made it very clear that i wanted someone else to fix my hair when i spoke to Roxy, however at this point i just wanted to get it over with, they acted as if it was not that bad and they doing me a favor by fixing it, Samantha even rolled her eyes at me once my back was turned to take my seat and my friend saw her, they started an arguement and Samantha was screaming at us until Roxy told her to calm down, so much for customer service!!. I did go to Rolf offerman for a hair analysis the week that my hair was originally done, the consultant was shocked to see the cut and how patchy my hair looked, she even offered me to fix my hair and phoned me twice from then to see if i needed assistance. But the staff at Chrysalis could not help me. I have a written statement of what was wrong with my hair as well as pictures . Up to that point i was very patient and kind with the matter but after being screamed at i told Roxy i dont want to deal with them i want the owner to contact me and i want a refund. I phoned every week first i was told by Roxy the owner is named Danesh and he is on holiday, after another month he was still on holiday, then from being on holiday her new story was that he lives overseas most of the time. In May i messaged the salon on facebook for assistance after 2 weeks i got a response from Danesh saying it will be difficult to get a hold of the owners and here i was being told he is the owner he did ask me how he can assist me, i did tell him he can assist me by giving me a refund, the message was seen and ignored and its now another month gone by without any response. what ever is in this review is not even a fraction of the disgusting customer service i have experienced with this salon. i have had countless phone conversations with rude unhelpful people with no manners what so ever throughout these months, on the saturday that i went to do my hair i visited Rolf offerman and praveenas in gateway, they were packed , when i went to chrysalis i was the 2nd customer there and now i clearly understand why. I waited 5 months to get assistance and now my patience has really run out. This salon has no regard for their customers, there is no such thing as being professional, this is really the most pathetic salon in Umhlanga.
