Poor health care service

I write this complaint with a very heavy heart.

My niece was admitted to Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital on the 2nd of August 2020 to birth her baby.She then had a cesarean on the 3rd of August of which we were very ecstatic that her and the baby was fine, however it was short lived cause on the 4th we called and was sent from pillar to post only to get through to Ward 60 where we were told that she tested positive for CoronaVirus. Now you can only imagine what goes through us as a family as a whole and through her mind as she couldn;t see or bond with her newborn baby, also only buried her father a couple of weeks prior to this incident. However the family decided that we get her from hospital and have a quarantine at home only to find that the doctor discharged her on the 6th of August with the baby remaining behind in Ward 66. Only for her results to come back on Sunday 9th August negative as per the attached picture of the sms.

If that was not enough upon her being discharged she went to collect her nappy bag that had baby items as well as her gown, morning slippers, underwear etc was not to be found, she was then told that there was two sides of where they store their goods so they will look for it.

They received a call late yesterday afternoon that the baby was discharged her being in pain & it being late did not go around to the labour ward to enquire about the bag. So i took it upon myself to contact the labour ward *** today 13 August at 11:31am and was told that she needs to come to the hospital to inquire about the bag and i explained that she had a c-section and is still in pain upon explaining this the sister on the other end decided to drop the call in my ear I could've understood if i was rude or used vulgar language or anything but for simply asking. Same as with the nursery ward no one could explain to us why the baby was kept so long was there something we should have been worried about at on at one point on saterday we were told that the baby was going for an MRI on monday called monday to find out how it went then we were told no its weekend the doctors are off. I have written a mail to ***, *** on 13th of Agust and no one came back to me to date.
