Bad Service & Negligence

Good Day Sir/Madam

My name is Thandi letsholo , was hospitalised at Chris hani baragwanath hospital from the 14 Nov 2017- 24 Nov 2017.The treatment that the nurses at Ward 35 give to patients it's totally not accepted !!. I was fortunate enough that i was able to do most of the things by myself i.e Bath , go to toilet by myself. As for the other patients it was different story for them.

The Night shift staff there by ward 35 do not take care of patients as they suppose to. i could name a few but most of them their name tags have peeled of from their badges.They not monitor patients at night all they do is sleep including the Matrons. Most patients who passed away while i was there was simply because of the negligence of the nurses !!

The patients would scream & call the nurses when they need to be assisted , but they would ignore them. They always find the deceased in the morning when they come bath them.I believe they need to be reported or investigated further as more people keep dying because of Negligence.

On the 23 November 2017 at Ward 35 we were told to move from the hospital beds at 06h00am -13h00pm. we were told to seat on the hospital benches (for 7 hours) because students will be doing their examinations there using the hospital beds that" we as patients " are sleeping on.

These are the two names of the Nurses i recall Azwi & Takalani.

The list goes on ....

Please kindly take further steps as fear that more lives would be lost if there's no action taken in this matter/Case.

I trust that future patients don't receive same treatment i & the other patients & deceased one got at Chris hani baragwanath (Ward 35). For Further questions or comments can be called on ********** / ********** 698.
