Afraid of the Baragwanath Hospital

My mother was admitted to the hospital on the 4th of August 2020 for a angiogram. We were told that no visitors were allowed, which was fine, because of COVID19. We understood this very well. She wasn't allowed to have a cellphone, which means we couldn't be in contact with her. We were given the ward's phone number and phoned every day and was told that she was fine. She remained in hospital without any procedure being done, until we convinced the doctor to discharge her seeing that they couldn't give a date for the angiogram. She was discharged on the 13th and informed to come back on the 16th, as the angiogram was now scheduled for Monday, the 17th. We were told to bring her at 8:am, we were there at 07:45am. At 8:45am we, were still not assisted. When i went to enquire with one of the nurses, she told me to wait for the doctor, as she wasn't admitting patients. I didn't know this. The doctor eventually came and started with the proceedings to admit my mother. He gave one of the nurses the file and said everything was done and she could be admitted. We were again told to wait...After some time i went back in and the nurse at the station was busy writing something down, she completely ignored me, it was as if she didn't hear me. One of them eventually helped us, but was very obnoxious and rude. On Monday morning we phoned to find out if the procedure was done and they told us no, she was scheduled for the afternoon. At about 5:30pm we phoned again and was told that the procedure was done and that she was doing fine. We were very happy and hoped that she would come home soon. On Tuesday morning when I phoned to check up on her, I was told that she was doing fine and would be going for an operation on Thursday. To my shock, it was found that the nurse i spoke to the previous night, didn't check the file, the angiogram was never done. My question is, if they can lie like this, how do we know my mother is doing fine? I asked the nurse i spoke to, to give me her name and she refused. She asked, why do i want her name? The only reason why i asked her name was to avoid the mix up that happen the previous day. How are we supposed to trust them if they make mistakes like these? I am very scared of my mother being there, because we don't know if they are talking the truth when they say she is doing fine. We can't visit her, she wasn't allowed a cellphone...
