Childline lineless!

It really breaks my heart that an institution as important as Childline has to find itself reviewed negatively here. This means that a child somewhere may have lost a life due to their incompetence.

I cannot, for the life of me, really comprehend how Childline can have an international 24-hour helpline yet when you call it, only Gauteng is open. KZN’s line has operating hours, as if abusers look at their watches and say, “Woah, stop beating that child, it’s after hours!” I wanted to report an urgent incident but only got through to the Gauteng line and the lovely courteous lady put me through to the KZN line only to be welcomed by a voicemail!

This is pathetic KZN Childline!
