Avoid Chikitas Fashion Boutique

Avoid Chikitas Fashion Boutique if you value reliability and basic customer service. In the lead-up to my daughter’s wedding on 04 April 2026, my wife trusted them with a simple garment alteration—paid for and agreed to be ready by 02 April. It wasn’t. Despite explicitly asking them to CALL (not message) due to the chaos of wedding prep, they ignored this and sent a message about a “problem” instead. By the time we saw it, they were closed. No accountability, no urgency. On the morning of the wedding (04 April), I went in personally. An assistant, Prudence, apologised and promised delivery by 10:00. That didn’t happen either. Instead, I get a call at 12:36—while sitting at my daughter’s wedding—saying they’re now delivering, but demanding R50 upfront. No one was home, so I asked them to leave it with security and I would pay immediately after the wedding. Jenny Dharmavir refused. Flat out. No R50 upfront, no delivery. Let that sink in: after missing deadlines, ignoring instructions, and breaking promises, they refused to release the garment over R50 I had already agreed to pay. This is after my wife spent around R1,700 and her sisters nearly R4,000 with them for the same event. What kind of business treats paying customers like this—especially during a once-in-a-lifetime family occasion? Unreliable, unprofessional, and completely lacking in customer care. I would strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere.
