Waited 40 minutes for a meal

Roughly about a week back, I went into Chicken Licken at Pavillion to buy a meal. I had placed my order at 18:35, as it said on my receipt. Nobody told me anything about chicken that needed to be put into the fryer, I waited there forever, eventually my husband got very annoyed & asked the manager what was taking so long, to which he responded that they are very busy & our order will be ready in a few minutes. We waited another 10 minutes, in this time other customers began to get frustrated aswell. Other customers were telling the manager that if he knows its a busy time he should have more people on the floor, which is only logical anyways. We stood there frustrated for ages, we only got our meals close to 19:15. We can understand if you are busy but what does this store plan to do about it? This is not out first time being in this position & what got to us was that nobody told us they had to still put in chicken to fry, if I had known at the time I was placing the order I would went somewhere else. By the time I got my food I actually didn't want to eat anymore. People should be told if they need to wait so long, we can just go elsewhere & avoid all this frustration.
