Unhygienic practices at Chicken Licken Malvern

I purchased a family meal on 2 September 2020 from Chicken Licken in Malvern, Queensburgh (Durban). While almost at the end of consuming the meal I noticed a strand of hair that was attached to the chicken. I was utterly disgusted and did not finish the meal. The next day (3 September 2020) I called the branch in order to bring it to their attention providing them with the proof of the hair in an image form via WhatsApp. I also asked to be compensated with chicken wings for my inconvenience and their incompetence and unhygienic manners. The owner (Michael) returned my call insinuating that he only has African staff and the hair looks to be of an Indian person due to the fact that I am Indian. I found this to be of a ****** nature and took great offense. He further stated that since there was only one piece of chicken that had hair in it, he can only replace the one piece and asked me to come to the store to pick up my one piece of chicken. I found this to be very disrespectful especially since I took the matter to the branch instead of the head office and the media. He ended the call by stating that he is sorry but that is all he can do in a inconsiderate and disrespectful manner. The fact that the owner of the branch proved to be highly rude to their customers shows the lack of incompetency among the branch.
