I’ve noticed inconsistent standards across certain Chicken Licken outlets. Not all “Hot Wings” truly feel like the Hot Wings we expect. I’m quite disappointed, as stores in Johannesburg consistently deliver fresh-tasting wings that make you want to return.

However, the Chicken Licken at Mall@R55 does not meet this standard. While the wings may be freshly prepared, they taste like lower-quality chicken and the portions are noticeably smaller. I’ve had larger, tastier wings—such as those from Sovereign Foods, the frozen “Southern Fried” wings available in retail stores—that compare far more favorably in both size and flavour.
