Diarrhea

We bought chicken licked last night and spent the evening with a very upset tummy I was even vomiting. I've taken pics of the salad packaging and they have no best before dates. How do you ensure they are made fresh for consumption on a daily basis? I'm very disappointed as I frequent that chicken licken and I've never had this issue.
